❓What is Mythopouch? Learn-Earn-Play
This short is a simple introduction to Mythopouch. It asks what happens when mythology is not only read, but used.
First you LEARN through story-driven learning modules and challenges drawn from real myths and ancient history; then you EARN progress and certificates as you complete each course of Tier 1; only after that is the physical card and board game unlocked for purchase to PLAY.
Nothing is given, everything is earned.
The short also turns to a Greek lesson that sits at the heart of Mythopouch's ethos - Pandora’s Pithos (jar), not a box - and the reminder that after every hardship, hope always remains.
Watch it if you want some concept of the LEARN–EARN–PLAY idea in one place before the board game release.

The Influence Spinner of Tier 1🌪️
The Influence Spinner is an essential piece of the board game that gives the player (storyteller) guidance, narrating the "how" and "why" of the game story.
Tier 1 Influence Spinner Regions are:
-
Arthurian (ancient British),
-
Ancient Egyptian, and;
-
Ancient Greek.
The Influence Spinner icons for Tier are:
-
👁️ Eye → Observe / Think / Understand
-
🔥Flame → Act / Be bold / Inspire
-
🌿 Leaf → Rest / Heal / Nature
-
🛡️ Shield → Protect / Defend / Help others
These four icons actually feature somewhere really important, in addition to the Influence Spinner.
This below video explains how a positive encounter between Merlin and Medusa, on the result of spinning the "EYE" icon with the Influence spinner, might play out "in-game".

📖Mythopouch's Depth of Storytelling

This teaser looks past combat and asks what an entity or object is for, not only what it can fight. Two upcoming expansion figures sit side by side:
- the zashiki-warashi, the small Japanese household spirit tied to luck, fortune, and the home it protects, and
- Thrym, the frost-giant king of Norse myth, usually written off as reckless and dangerous.
In Mythopouch that is never the whole story. Before you play, you learn the mythology, history, symbolism, and meaning behind each being through quizzes, videos, crafts, exercise, and other real-world tasks. The point is perspective.
Nothing is given, everything is earned.
Learn. Earn. Play.
